Roles and responsibilities

A field engineer plays a critical role in the implementation and oversight of engineering projects at construction sites or operational facilities. Their responsibilities typically include the following:

### 1. Site Assessment and Planning
- **Site Inspections**: Conduct initial assessments of the project site to evaluate conditions and gather necessary data.
- **Plan Review**: Analyze engineering plans and specifications to understand project requirements and constraints.

### 2. Project Coordination
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure alignment on project goals.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise on-site crews and subcontractors, providing guidance and support to ensure tasks are executed properly.

- **Installation Oversight**: Oversee the installation of systems and equipment, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

- **Change Orders**: Assist in managing change orders and evaluating their impact on project timelines and costs.

- **Permits and Documentation**: Assist in obtaining necessary permits and maintaining regulatory documentation.

Desired candidate profile

The Production Engineer’s responsibilities include:

• Assist the Site Manager in the execution of their duties.

Production side:

• Production reporting and analysis, first level control of PDMS tool.

• Monitor and optimize chemical injection:

• Monitor and report chemical product usage.

• Handle Chemical tests and improvement missions on site.

• Provide site support and technical assistance for operational problems.

• Propose process ways of improvement and optimizing of field production.

• Monitor and report oil production and water injection performance to confirm oil in water and salinity specifications are met

• Ensure consumption is consistent with dosing requirements.

• Liaison with vendors and other disciplines to review, select and optimize chemical requirements.

• Perform process calculations and simulations to help resolve operational problems.

• Monitor and optimize oil production and water injection.

• Suggest operational / safety improvements as appropriate.

Maintenance Side:

• Update the follow up of Shutdown opportunity tasks.

• Coordinate with Doha a follow up of TOP waiting materials.

• Maintain TIM device.

Method Side:

• Consolidations of planning Day+3, 10 Days planning and 5weeks look ahead.

• Methods Update (PTW process, daily organization, reporting, temporary modification update & register).

• Assist in the update and management of the documentation that is under the responsibility of the Production entity (e.g. P&IDs, Operating Manuals, side procedures, standing instructions etc.).

• Shutdowns coordination, sequencing and optimization.

Communication Side:

• Leader for site micromanagement projects (Lean initiative, Visual Management...)

• Coordinate site visits for auditors, experts, management.

• Act as focal point for digital tools as Robot, SmartGlass, VR Helmet, MyForm, PI View
