Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced tax manager to join our team or a tax senior who will grow into a tax manager. The Tax Managers role will be to work with our other tax managers to oversee and manage the companys tax planning and compliance activities ensure adherence to tax regulations and optimize tax strategies for our clients.
The client offers a great work/life balance with tax season hourly requirements at 55 hours per week and has summer hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Nontax season schedules are also flexible. The client also offers a commission structure for clients you bring into the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in leading our tax team including training and mentoring tax staff
- Research develop and implement tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- In charge of reviewing federal state and local tax returns
- Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions to clients
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather necessary financial information for tax reporting
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Note: CPA is a must
Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in managing staff and tax engagements
- Familiarity with Lacerte is a plus
