Job Description

About the HAPPY Program

The Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) Program is a multistakeholder partnership led by AgriImpact Limited and supported by the Master card Foundation. The program aims to create

326000 quality job opportunities for youth aged 1535 in Ghanas poultry rice soybean and tomato value chains with a focus on women and persons with disabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct indepth research to identify and engage potential employers in key agricultural sectors.
  • Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive database of prospective and current employer partners.
  • Initiate personalized outreach campaigns via email and phone to establish connections with potential employers.
  • Develop and deliver engaging presentations about the HAPPY Program to attract and inform potential partners.
  • Facilitate both virtual and inperson meetings with prospective employers to discuss partnership opportunities.
  • Create and maintain informative materials that enhance employer engagement and interest in the program.
  • Draft negotiate and finalize partnership agreements with new employers and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with employers to identify job openings and maintain detailed records of available positions and requirements.
  • Track placement metrics and provide regular reports on progress towards employer acquisition and job placement targets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and participate in professional development to improve employer engagement strategies continuously.


Requirements

Competencies:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Agriculture Marketing or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in business development account management or partnerships preferably in the agricultural sector
  • Strong understanding of the Ghanaian agricultural landscape and value chains
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data analysis tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Resultsoriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
