Job Description
Job Title: Maths Tutor
LT Selection is recruiting for a Maths Tutor to join an innovative educational institution that is dedicated to fostering creativity and supporting learners on their educational journey. This permanent fulltime role is a fantastic opportunity for a Maths tutor with a passion for delivering highquality education to diverse learners in a supportive creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging learnercentred Maths lessons that support progression and exam readiness.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all learners adhering to safeguarding protocols.
- Track student attendance and academic progress through digital management systems.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to learners using a variety of assessment methods.
- Prepare students for functional skills and GCSE exams as well as other core Maths qualifications.
- Work collaboratively with other subject areas to embed Maths skills into vocational and practical learning settings.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths (E3L2) GCSE Maths or Level 3 Core Principles Mathematics.
- Proven ability to engage and inspire students using diverse teaching strategies tailored to FE learners.
- Strong organisational skills with a commitment to meeting educational targets and standards.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent; a degree in Mathematics or a related subject is essential.
- A Level 5 teaching qualification is preferred though significant relevant experience will be considered.
