Delivery Driver

- Under general supervision the Delivery Driver replenishes product in customer facilities and vending machines in accordance with a predesignated schedule and customer requests.
- Employees in this job classification will be responsible for fulfilling orders and managing product inventory levels including the loading and transportation of products from warehouse to customer sites and will also be responsible for troubleshooting minor issues affecting vending machines.
- This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers work independently safely operate assigned vehicles navigate to various locations and maintain inventory accuracy.

- We are looking for a dependable individual with a strong work ethic capable of working independently with limited supervision.
- This is a laborintensive role requiring both customer service experience and some technical aptitude.
- The ability to maintain a high level of commitment to the position is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and unload product into assigned vehicle in a safe efficient and organized manner while maintaining a clean company vehicle.
- Record and adjust inventory levels using customer software on a handheld electronic device.
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport customer products to designated locations.
- Follow established routes and schedules by delivering products to customer sites in a safe timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot minor vending machine technical issues using guides to diagnose and fix issues.
- Prepare and process outbound orders physically and systematically for delivery.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Load and unload the Sprinter van with items (heaviest lifting requirement: boxes of paper).
- Deliver items to different client sites across storage facilities throughout the metro area.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients.
- Use an iPad for delivery tracking and data entry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Required: High School Diploma or GED; a comparable combination of work experience and education may be considered.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- One year of clerical or customer service experience is desirable.
- Must have a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from customers.
- Basic mathematical ability including addition subtraction multiplication and division.
- Computer literacy to use customer business software the Internet enter data/retrieve data.
- Basic troubleshooting ability.
- Demonstrated customer service problem solving and commonsense skills.
- Flexibility of schedule changes and work durations.
- Valid regular drivers license (no commercial license required).
- Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting boxes of paper).
- Strong customer service experience.
- Basic computer/data entry skills (experience using an iPad preferred).
- Reliability and commitment to show up consistently as there is no local backup for this position.
- Flexibility is offered for scheduled absences (e.g. sick vacation days).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in a warehouse or distribution environment with forklifts material handling and production equipment as well as in a vehicle while driving.
- May be exposed to noise from equipment and depending on external weather conditions exposure to heat cold wind and rain. This position requires nontraditional hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
- Maneuvering in and around the warehouse
- Bending and stooping
- Lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
- Pulling or pushing up to 75 pounds
- May require use of a pallet jack
- Viewing Computer screen
- Operating delivery vehicles
- Climbing in and out of vehicle
