Midwest multidisciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Transportation Drainage Engineer to their Chicago Team!
Responsibilities:
- Assist with completion of engineering plans specifications and drainage engineering studies
- Develop hydrologic/hydraulic models of municipal storm sewer/sanitary collection systems
- Analyze /design stormwater facilities and proposed improvement projects
- Complete drainage portion of engineering plans specifications and cost estimate production using IDOT Standards
- Complete IDOT Hydraulic Reports Location Drainage Studies and other drainage studies
- Communicate with clients/regulatory agencies
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- 3 years of experience
- PE License or ability to obtain within one year of employment
- Roadway/infrastructure design experience using IDOT Standards preferred
- Experience preparing IDTO Hydraulic Reports and Phase 1 drainage studies
- Experience preparing permits related to drainage design floodplain/floodway and wetland impacts (including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 404 and IDNROWR Floodway Construction permits)
- Ability to travel with own transportation
- Experience with HECRAS HECHMS CivilStorm StormCAD and HY8 preferred
- Experience using Microstation/Geopak preferred
Salary is commensurate with experience.
