Job Title: IT/ OT Network Engineer
Work Location: Muskegon MI 49440
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Duration: 3 6 Months
Job Description/Responsibilities
- Support design of servers and network infrastructure for client projects.
- Install configure and maintain new / existing network infrastructure hardware including configuration of virtual networks.
- Assist with the implementation of new/upgraded systems and/or virtualisation.
- Perform Qualification testing on new / existing systems.
- Disaster Recovery testing
- Build of Host Server and failover Clusters
- Knowledge of Antivirus & Security Active Directory Time Syncronization and Backup & Recovery
- Set up Remote Access setup
- Support FAT with Customer
- Support site commissioning in Muskegon
- Support Vendor with installation and connection to OT Services (MES PI Data Analytics DCS PLC/SCADA)
Additional:
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Server and Workstation Operating Systems (Server 2008/2012/2016 Microsoft Windows 7/10) and Linux/Container technologies.
- Experience working with HyperV VMWare desired.
- Good knowledge of wireless technology including design and deployment.
- Excellent opportunity for a handson role with a collaborative client and supported by our strong internal OT engineer team.
- This is strongly an IT role. There is interaction of OT systems but IT skills are primarily needed.
Desired soft skills:
- Support & Troubleshooting Skills;
- Good Communication Skills; Excellent organisational skills;
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks;
- Availability to work outside office hours when the need arises.
Desired certification/knowledge but not mandatory:
- MCSE/CCNA/CCNP certification desirable
- Qualification in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Emerson DeltaV PLC/SCADA desiredIT/ OT Network Engineer
Must Haves:
- IT experienced with windows server knowledge VMWare virtualisation and ideally some firewall/networking Awareness of Quality Assurance Processes and GAMP and IT Security/cybersecurity.
- Good knowledge of routing switching and bridging protocols such as BGP RIP VLANs etc.
- Good knowledge and understanding of network design including switches firewalls and security (Cisco and Palo Alto)
