DS Technologies Inc is looking for Linux Security Engineer role for one of our premier clients.
Overview:
The Linux Security Engineer will be responsible for supporting clients in developing and implementing security measures monitoring network traffic and maintaining secure Linuxbased systems. This role involves managing various security tools deploying operating systems and ensuring network security through best practices.
Position:
Linux Security Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Support customers in developing and implementing security policies
- Provide security engineering and integration services
- Develop detailed technical project documentation
- Analyze and resolve securityrelated issues
- Design and implement IDS/IPS solutions
- Deploy new network traffic monitoring sensors
- Install configure and support security tools
- Recommend improvements for cybersecurity systems
- Deploy FireEye HX EDR agents and integrate with other security tools
- Conduct vulnerability scans and dynamic analysis
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience
- Proficiency with IT security technologies (Snort SourceFire Firepower)
- Experience with RockyLinux/CentOS/Redhat/Oracle OS
- Experience in administering Snort IDS sensors
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python/Ansible preferred)
- Experience with security tools and Linux troubleshooting
- Knowledge of routers switches VLANs and VPN configuration
- Experience with SOC tools (log collectors EDRs)
Preferred Skills:
- Centralized Log Management
- RHCSA certification
- CompTIA Security certification
