JOB TITLE: Aircraft Cabinet Maker II
LOCATION: Savannah GA
PAY RATE: $25.65 per hour

Summary:
-
Fabricate aircraft furniture and other woodsurfaced subassemblies using aircraft specifications and design/engineering drawings ensuring high standards of safety quality detail and productivity.
-
Assist team members to enhance techniques supporting quality workmanship.
-
Fabricate furniture and woodsurfaced subassemblies using blueprints aircraft specifications and design/engineering drawings.
-
Assemble pin and glue cabinet shells; install drawer slides hinges latches and other hardware in subassemblies.
-
Apply exterior surface materials such as laminates veneers and cap strips.
-
Utilize various stationary and handheld power tools to fabricate or disassemble furniture.
-
Comply with all safety 5S and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment to protect aircraft interiors.

Use the material tracking system to create parts demands track issues and sign off on completed work.

Collaborate with lead and skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that enhance safety reduce costs cycle time and manhours using Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement techniques.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes products and tools.

Two (2) years of experience in cabinetmaking
-
Aerospace industry experience preferred.
-
Proficient in reading writing speaking and understanding English.
-
Able to climb ladders and stairs work in confined spaces lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift.

Must be computer literate.
