Job Description

OSP INSPECTOR

Work location: Boise Idaho or Billings Montana (travel required around the regions)

Per Diem: $135/working day for lodging and meals.

Mileage: Standard Mileage Rate per IRS Allowance We will pay $0.67/mile for using own vehicle. A valid drivers license is required

Pay Rate: $ 3540/hr on 1099

Duration: 6 months

Job Description:

The OSP Inspector will be responsible to ensure that all the clients underground buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections audits and pole transfers electronically and be expected to communicate via email and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections audits and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. The OSP Inspector III will have experience managing teams of inspectors and be comfortable with interfacing with client management and vendor management to.

  • Had performed Wireline Field Inspection for Aerial Sites
  • Capable of Data Collection and Reporting.
  • Experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
  • Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
  • Computer experience:
  • Microsoft Windows XP Excel 2003 or newer and Outlook
  • Experience with mapping tools such as Microsoft MapPoint 2009 or newer
  • Familiar and comfortable with internet usage and web page browsing.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Personal time management and organization skills.
  • Construction contractor management skills.
  • Experience in managing teams of inspectors and their workflow
  • A valid drivers license and the ability to travel on short notice.
