Roles and responsibilities

Diagnose and treat minor cases of illnesses (As illustrated in below table). Responsible to examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Responsible to counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare whenever it is related to their individual cases & refer any cases need more investigation to specialties; video consultation.The ER General Physician provides comprehensive medical care to patients in an emergency department setting. They are responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of acute medical conditions and injuries. The physician must work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

Accountabilities

Clinical Tasks:

• Assess patients and document findings.
• Designs and executes the patient’s plan of care.
• Educates patients on their health condition, investigations required, treatment options and medication use.
• Educates patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Orders and reviews result of patients’ investigations.
• Prescribe medications for patients.
• Performs additional tasks based on specialty and their clinical privileges.
• Responsible for Vaccination if applicable.
• Referring the cases to Clinic specialties when applicable.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with various medical emergencies, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop treatment plans for acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform necessary emergency procedures such as intubation, suturing, and IV placements.
• Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.

The employee’s duties are not limited to the above-mentioned accountabilities. The manager can assign other duties based on the business need.

Desired candidate profile

• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Current medical license to practice in the state.
• Board Certification: Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in an emergency medicine setting is advantageous.
