Position Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a Cost Accountant to join the existing Industrial Air Quality Business Unit team in our Power & Industrial (P&I) Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for Account and record cost transactions. Process and assist with the closure of disbursement accounts. Review and accrual provisions for accrued cost on contracts or work in progress. Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis.
Coordination and control of finished product warehouses as well as their valuation determination of sales costs and profit margins.
Provide training and support to Mexico team to document and process a training guide. Review processes and controls related to cost accounting tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
Determination of cost of sales.
Valuation of inventories according to the established method of First In First Out (FIFO).
In transit identification and reclassification
Inventory control (inputs outputs obsolete damaged slow movement).
Control of cost provision accounts inventory reserves guarantee reserves.
Work in progress Accrued cost on contract
Person Specification:
Education Qualifications and Affiliations
Essential
- Bachelors degree in Accounting / Administration
- English spoken written reading & listening (medium)
Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position or demonstrable experience as a Costs Accountant.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent proven interpersonal verbal and written communications skills.
Technical Requirements:
- ERP System.
- COI (Local Accounting System).
- Accounting for Cost
- SCAI
