Job Description
Job Summary:
The company is seeking an experienced Forklift/Material Handler to support our warehouse and production operations in North Hollywood. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to safety and detail with the ability to move materials efficiently and accurately. This role is essential to maintaining smooth workflows by ensuring materials are handled and stored properly while supporting both shipping and receiving tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move stack and retrieve products and materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks containers and racks as needed.
- Organize and maintain inventory by properly storing items and ensuring they are easily accessible.
- Assist with receiving shipments checking products for damage and verifying quantities.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments ensuring all products are correctly labeled and prepared for transport.
- Perform daily inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good operating condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure materials are delivered to the right location in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment ensuring aisles and storage areas are clear of hazards.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe material handling techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or Material Handler in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
