Manufacturing company located in Hermosillo Sonora is looking for talent as a Process Engineer.
Requirements:
- Engineering
- 25 years of experience in the wire harness manufacturing environment.
- Fluent English
Knowledge and Skills:
- Applicable professional experience using Microsoft excel ERP and Cad softwares.
- IPC/WHMA620 Training or previous certification.
- Solid knowledge of wiring harness assembly boards design using SolidWorks.
- 3D modeling Mechanisms and 3D printing experience.
Main Activities:
- Estimate new opportunities by calculating material tooling and labor times based on wire harness or assembly drawings.
- Estimate costs on proposed engineering changes to current assemblies.
- Prepare material and labor time breakdowns for negotiating drawing attributes material quantities labor times and wire harness tooling with customers.
- Analyze blueprint detail corresponding flag notes and appropriate engineering specifications for inclusion in the Bill of Material.
- Acquire internal and external supplier’s component cost to support engineering estimates and quotations.
- Reverse engineer customer samples to estimate new opportunities.
- Work with the customer to design new solutions or improve existing programs.
- Builds prototype assemblies based on customer’s design requirements. Suggests improvements for manufacturability improved quality and cost savings.
- Complete and submit customer First Article reports submissions.
- Startup new assemblies in production by creating work instructions and training programs while implementing new equipment and assembly/test fixtures.
- Design and build assembly/test wire harness boards.
- Design implementation and validation of fixtures POKAYOKE and workstations.
- Lead process improvement projects to reduce quality safety productivity issues reduce cost and optimize space.
- Work with vendors of different services to build fixtures get equipment and tooling with competitive lead times and cost.
- Programming and validation of electrical test programs/macros on CABLE EYE.
- Develop implement and document improvements to the manufacturing processes to eliminate waste.
- Spare parts inventory control for electrical test boards fixtures and essential equipment/machines.
- Internal and external calibration control.
- Oversee maintenance and training of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Perform and document assembly time studies.
- Work in quality teams to develop effective corrective actions.
- Coordinate manufacturing technician and/or engineering internships activitiesprojects.
