Job Description
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Manages backend services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.
- Handles development of all serverside logic definition and maintenance of the central database and ensures high performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend.
- Develops and integrates frontend elements with the back end.
- Responsible for the Integration of userfacing elements.
- Builds efficient testable and reusable PHP modules.
- Works with team leads to solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
- Works with team leads to manages and update database schemas.
- Works with the Product team on scoping requirements and project sizing estimates.
- Works with more junior developers training and educating them on proper development practices.
Requirements
- Must have 3 7 years prior work experience developing PHP applications.
- Experience working in a SaaS environment or similar technical platform.
- Moderate knowledge and understanding of PHP.
- Moderate knowledge of objectoriented PHP programming and common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions is a plus.
- Moderate understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and MVC design patterns.
- Knowledge of Laravel knowledge of version 10 is a plus.
- Moderate understanding of frontend technologies such as JavaScript jQuery HTML5 and CSS3.
- Knowledge of VueJS is a plus.
- Knowledge of Bootstrap and specifically version 5 a plus.
- Moderate knowledge of MySQL and using SQL.
- Familiarity with Linux and command line interface tools such as vi and ssh.
- Good understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Understanding of Jira and tools within it.
- Good understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
- Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Must be a selfstarter who is creative and an innovative thinker and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
