Job Description
Title: Energy Storage Project Engineer (Onsite)
Work authorization: any (candidate must be authorized to work in US)
Musthave skills: 7 years of proven engineering experience; energy storage or renewable energy exp.
PREFERRED : SME in substation or utility scale energy storage design and/or project managementLithium ion battery storage
Location: Juno Beach FL

Earliest Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extension (s)
Additional information: The candidate should be able to provide an ID if the interview is requested. The candidate interviewing must be the same individual who will be assigned to work with our client.
Requirements:
Availability to work 100% of the time at the Clients site in Juno Beach FL (required);
Engineering experience (7 years);
Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program.
Preferred:
Experience working as SME in substation or utility scale energy storage design and/or project management;
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
Power electronics
Battery storage system design
Substation design
Generation tie design
Experience in design and/or operation of largescale power generation or processing plants;
Experience in technologies in energy storage including varying battery chemistries power conversion units and DC/DC converters
Experience with UL1973 UL9540 UL9540A NFPA 855 NFPA 70E NEC applicable IFC/IBC sections.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Performs detailed design engineering of major components for large scale energy storage augmentation projects
Prepares technical scopes of work for incorporation into contract documents
Supports projects from conception through execution working closely with earlystage and construction project managers
Influences project teams in the engineering aspects of the technical work including close collaboration with and oversight of external Engineers of Record
Maintains familiarity with the progress and problems in assigned technical areas
Collaborates with suppliers to successfully integrate major equipment
Collaborates with multidisciplined teams for problem solving process improvement opportunities and system integration and controls
