Job Description
Position: OCI Consultant (Terraform)
Location: 100% Remote
Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer with expertise in Terraform to join our cloud engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing implementing and maintaining OCI solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform. The role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams to deliver robust scalable and secure cloud environments driving automation and ensuring best practices are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design deploy and manage OCI resources using Terraform in alignment with infrastructure best practices.
- Build and maintain highly available scalable and secure OCI architectures for enterprise applications.
- Automate cloud infrastructure setup provisioning and deployments using Terraform and other DevOps tools.
- Manage the full lifecycle of OCI environments including configuration monitoring maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Implement infrastructure as code principles to ensure consistency repeatability and traceability of OCI environments.
- Work closely with DevOps Security and Application teams to align cloud infrastructure with application needs and security guidelines.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for OCI resources using Terraform and integrate them with existing CI/CD systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to OCI infrastructure and related services.
- Optimize cloud usage and costs by configuring and monitoring appropriate policies and settings in OCI.
- Stay updated with the latest features and advancements in OCI and Terraform and proactively suggest improvements.
- Provide guidance and best practices for Terraform code development testing and version control.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 3 years of experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Strong experience in Terraform for cloud automation (Terraform modules state management workspaces etc.).
- Proficiency in creating testing and managing Terraform scripts to build OCI resources such as compute instances networking components storage solutions load balancers and databases.
- Handson experience with OCI networking security compute and storage services.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for cloud automation.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices (IAM VCN Security Lists etc.).
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
- Familiarity with Python Shell scripting or other programming languages is a plus.
- Certification in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI Architect OCI Developer) and/or HashiCorp Terraform is highly desirable.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
