Job Description
This is a remote position.
Job Opportunity: Experienced Translators Needed
We are seeking highly qualified translators to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a strong educational background and extensive experience in translation especially in international development. Our translators will focus on delivering accurate and highquality translations for key doents in this field.
Responsibilities:
- Provide precise translations of doents related to international development.
- Proofread and postedit translated materials to ensure quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with project management and web development teams to align translations with project needs.
- Contribute to and utilize a shared termbase of specialized terminology.
- Maintain rigorous quality control over all translated products.
- Use designated translation platforms and manage various file formats.
Requirements
Qualifications: (Required)
- Bachelor s degree with at least 15 years of translation experience.
- Master s degree with at least 16 years of translation experience.
- Ph.D. with at least 12 years of translation experience.
Ss and Competencies:
- Expertise in translating and proofreading.
- Nativelevel proficiency in the target language. (English Tamil)
- Experience in international development (preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and strong quality control ss.
- Proficiency in Trados and content management systems (Strapi WordPress etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Additional Competencies (preferred but not required):
- Experience with 508 forms.
- Knowledge of desktop publishing (DTP).
- Graphic design experience.
