As a Phlebotomist and Care istant (CNA) you will deliver essential health care services to residents combining duties as both a CNA and phlebotomist. Phlebotomist and Care istant CNA Position Summary:

• Patient Care: Perform routine nursing care maintain a safe environment and ist with activities of daily living.
• Phlebotomy: Conduct blood draws for laboratory testing ensure proper identification and labeling of samples and follow safety protocols.
• Resident Transport: Coordinate accompany and ist with Residents transportation to and from appointments ensuring safety and adherence to schedules (no driving required).
• Doentation: Accurately doent blood draws patient interactions and any incidents. Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain phlebotomy equipment report malfunctions and store equipment properly.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to infection control procedures use PPE and report any communicable diseases.
• Additional duties as igned.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; CNA certification in New York; Phlebotomy certification (ASCP NPA or similar).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year as a CNA in a sed nursing facility; phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Ss: Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational ss; attention to detail; ability to handle stressful situations; patience and compion for working with elderly and disabled individuals.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Capable of handling emotional and physical stress working with hostile or upset residents and exposure to infectious conditions.
• Attend and participate in training and educational programs.
• ist with resident dining grooming and ambulation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Participate in resident care plan meetings and doent activities accurately.
• Covid19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC.
