RN - Emergency Department

Duties: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of essment planning implementation and evaluation to provide delegate supervise and doent care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Ss: Clinical knowledge and ytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is igned. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients families and hospital personnel.

Education: 1. BSN preferred. 2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. 3. Clinical knowledge and ytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. 4. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. 5. Ability to effectively communicate with patients families and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Schedule Notes: * 13 week contract *

**REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years ED experience Previous experience at a Trauma Level 1 facility Current MI RN licensure BLS ACLS TNCC and ENPC certifications

** Preferred: Previous travel experience PALS certification Previous experience working in an innercity hospital. Emergency Department sees 200300 patients per day. Patient population is all ages but pediatrics is rare. High population of psych and critical patients. Only outsource burns and pediatrics. There are techs in the ED but due to staffing shortages they are not always readily available in every area. The schedule is created in sixweek blocks and posted two weeks in advance. Please limit RTO and do not request more than 3 days consecutive PTO. Manager will be interviewing via phone.
