We have partnered with a large Telecommunications firm in the Mount Laurel NJ area to provide them with a Network Support Engineer. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Ss for the Network Support Engineer:
#1. Must have Microsoft certification qualification MS 700 or MS 721
#2. 24 years working with Switching/Routing and VoIP technologies
#3. 2 years working with a Service Provider Network/Data Center environment
#4. Excellent understanding of Hosted PBX service and ociated technologies
#5. Excellent knowledge of network protocols configurations and operations
#6. Excellent knowledge of industry routing and switching protocols
#7. Excellent knowledge and understanding of VoIP Protocols: SIP RTP RTCP
#8. Experience with Cisco ADTRAN Fortinet and Ciena hardware
#9. CCNA certification or equivalent networking certification required
Requirements of the Network Support Engineer:
To succeed in this role candidates must demonstrate proficiency in performing essential job functions with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities as needed.
Minimum Education/Experience:
- A bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid understanding of network protocols configurations and operations.
- Familiarity with help desk processes procedures and experience using service desk management tools.
Required Technical Ss:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Switching/Routing and VoIP technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a Service Provider Network/Data Center setting.
- Strong grasp of Hosted PBX services and related technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols configurations and industry routing and switching protocols.
- Indepth understanding of VoIP Protocols including SIP RTP and RTCP.
- Handson experience with hardware from Cisco ADTRAN Fortinet and Ciena.
- CCNA certification or a similar networking credential is required.
- Proficiency in performing configuration changes and updates to switches and routers including VLAN setups.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Visio) and other backoffice tools.
- Ability to create and update network diagrams.
Desired Technical Ss:
- Experience with Metaswitch Hosted PBX platform.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Collaboration Communications including Microsoft Teams Voice with MS 700 or MS 721 certification.
- Intermediate knowledge of wireless technologies.
- Strong understanding of call flows.
- Experience with Yealink and Polycom phones.
- Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems.
General Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication ss.
- Ability to handle highpriority or urgent requests in a prompt and professional manner.
- Maintains professionalism and composure under pressure.
