Job Description
Our client is one of Africa s largest economy and continues to cement its Group s position as one of the leading and most diversified consumer brand builders in the country. Due to expansion they are in need of a WELDER
LOCATION: LFTZ Lagos
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or od based on requirements.
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
- Align components using calipers rulers clamp pieces etc
- Weld components using manual or semiautomatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical horizontal or overhead)
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
- Report damages on machines and equipment
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Minimum of HND in any related field.
- Minimum of 810 years experience as a welder in the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical doents and drawings.
- Experience in Argon welding with Purge welding.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (faceshield gloves etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of welding machinery electrical equipment and manual tools.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Proficient in English.
