We are seeking qualified Medical Technologists/Medical Laboratory Scientists to join our team. The successful candidates will:
- Work 80 hours per pay period (40 hours a week)
- Primarily offtour shifts from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM including weekends and holidays.
- Contract Length: Base Year Plus 4 Option Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing in areas such as Chemistry Hematology Microbiology and Blood Bank.
- Ensure accuracy in test results by adhering to laboratory policies and procedures.
- Perform resolve and doent quality control activities including troubleing outliers and recognizing discrepant results.
- Maintain and trouble laboratory instruments including performing calibrations and instrument maintenance.
- Process specimens and enter data in a timely manner adhering to elished protocols.
- Conduct proficiency testing and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Communicate critical test results to healthcare providers ensuring proper doentation and compliance with elished procedures.
- Comply with and laboratory policies ensuring timely and accurate reporting of test results.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a closely related field.
Certification: Must possess certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
Experience: Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred with expertise in a wide range of diagnostic procedures and quality control practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team during offtour shifts.
Must be able to work 80 hours per pay period on an offtour shift schedule.
Compliance with laboratory policies and participation in mandatory trainings.
U.S. Citizenship or appropriate work authorization.
