About the role:
As a Senior Software Engineer youll be part of a client team building innovative products. We expect you to be curious pionate driven and enthusiastic. You and your team will move in a fastpaced engineering environment achieving outstanding results and delivering exciting projects.
Tasks
About you:
A YLD Software Engineering Consultant is a highly sed developer who exemplifies the highest standard in software engineering and enjoys sharing their knowledge and experience with others.
Youll have the opportunity to build and deliver software within some interesting projects in terms of the product and odology. We work in an Agile environment (Scrum) with a testfirst mindset (actually writing code without tests should be unthinkable). We are also big advocates of pair programming and nothing is released until we have a code review.
You have a real pion for problemsolving and are an active learner who gets excited by working collaboratively with those around you.
Your daytoday responsibilities will look like this:
- Crafting excellent products! As a Full Stack Engineer you will be building new features that meet the needs of our clients customers as well as improving their Digital Platform;
- Working closely with your team regularly collaborating on engineering initiatives to continually push yourselves to be better;
- Participating in regular show and tells to promote your work to both your department and the wider company;
- Joining our clients internal events including meeting external speakers going to quiz nights etc.
Requirements
Youll have the following ss and experience:
- Proven commercial experience of working with C C and Rust;
- Proficiency in memory management concurrency and multithreaded programming;
- Indepth understanding of system architecture including lowlevel optimization techniques;
- Experience with Cs ownership model and type system and how it aids in creating safe concurrent code;
- Experience with modern build systems and tooling (e.g. CMake Cargo Bazel);
- Strong background in debugging and performance profiling tools (e.g. GDB Valgrind or equivalent tools for Rust/C);
- Strong focus on testing odologies including Unit Integration and Systemlevel tests;
- Building highperformance and scalable applications;
- Familiarity with crossplatform development (e.g. embedded systems Linux MacOS and Windows);
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines as well as automated testing frameworks;
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools;
- Knowledge of networking protocols realtime systems or similar domains is a strong advantage.
