Job Summary: The AudioVisual Foreman will oversee the installation and maintenance of audiovisual systems in commercial settings. This role requires a strong technical background leadership ss and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of AV technicians in the installation configuration and maintenance of AV systems.
- Ensure all installations meet company standards and client specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
- Coordinate with project managers clients and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Trouble and resolve technical issues onsite.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Ability to maintain project schedules reports job tracking and work orders.
- Ability to manage 28 technicians and/or subcontractors across multiple projects and sites simultaneously.
- Train and mentor junior technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the audiovisual industry with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring AV systems including projectors displays sound systems and control systems.
- Strong understanding of low voltage wiring signal flow and AV system integration.
- Excellent leadership and communication ss.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CTS CTSD CTSI) are a plus.

Ssets and Core Competencies for Install Technicians Install Technician - Set of basic tools, access to a ladder - Knowledge of Industry Safety Standards for working in commercial spaces - Prior A/V installation experience - Cable Installation - Cable terminations and testing o RJ45 (must have an RJ45 Tester) o XLR o 3.5mm connectors o COAX - Wall mounting/Ceiling Mounting Displays - Ceiling mounting projectors/screens - Installation of speakers and microphones o Tone generator to test speakers - Experience with reading a wiring/signal flow diagram Lead technician - All of the above - Leadership, management, organization, communication ss o Interface with customer and IT personnel - Laptop with all of the proper programs to interface with the A/V equipment with knowledge of how to use: o Crestron Toolbox o Biamp (Tesira, Audia etc.) o Extron (Global Configurator etc.) - Basic knowledge of Network OSI Model o Layer 1 physical connections of equipment o Layer 2 datalink o Layer 3 network (switches) - How to Configure the equipment o Crestron (Matrix, Touch panels, etc) o Dante o AVB - Rack wiring (proper techniques for installing, dressing, labeling) - Red-Line wiring/signal flow diagram Certifications of Ss (any of the following would be helpful) - CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D - AVIXA training and certification - Manufacturer training i.e. Biamp, Crestron, AMX, Cisco, Shure, Extron, Zoom, Polycom and certifications & training. Education
