Job Description


We are looking for a female personal istant in the Wisbech area. The following shifts need covering which works out at 25hrs a week worked over a 3 week rota. We can offer these hours as a permanent contract or bank contract. You should be available to pick up weekend shifts and be flexible to cover additional shifts due to sickness or holidays.

Week 1: 2 x 11hr shifts
Week 2: 2 x 11hr shifts
Week 3: 3 x 11hr shifts


Our client is a lovely young lady who sustained a traumatic brain injury following a road traffic accident. Due to this she is now unable to use her left arm and has weakness in her left leg. She uses a wheelchair but can walk short distances.

She lives independently in a bungalow which has been adapted to meet her needs and you will support her at home with personal care moving and handling medication administration and with daily living. She also has many interests and likes to take part in activities which include going to the gym horseriding cooking and visiting her family. You will support her to enjoy life to the full and will need to have previous care experience and an understanding of brain injury.

You will need to drive our clients vehicle for this role so you should have a full clean UK driving licence.

The training provided specifically for this client to CQC standards include:

You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client.



Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
  • You must be a driver with a full clean UK driving licence
  • You must have previous care experience and an understanding of brain injury
  • This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 there is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit a female personal istant only
  • Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a personcentred way
  • Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the clients needs
  • Respect Company policies and procedures
  • Be reliable / nonjudgemental / caring / responsible / compionate
