Job Description:
We are seeking a highly sed and Registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team in Houston Texas. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and the ability to manage a range of land surveying projects. LSLS certification is preferred as some government projects require this credential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee boundary topographic and construction surveys for various projects including residential commercial and municipal developments.
- Prepare and review legal land descriptions plats and reports for property boundaries easements and rightsofway.
- Collaborate with engineers architects and construction teams to provide accurate survey data and ensure project compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Utilize modern surveying equipment including GPS total stations and AutoCAD Civil 3D to gather and yze field data.
- Manage survey crews including scheduling igning tasks and providing technical guidance and training.
- Review survey data for accuracy and compliance with legal requirements and professional standards.
- Prepare and submit necessary doentation to local and state authorities for approval.
- Ensure all surveys are performed in accordance with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) regulations.
- Maintain strong client relationships by delivering highquality work within deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of Texas.
- LSLS (Licensed State Land Surveyor) certification preferred for government projects requiring it.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying with a focus on boundary and topographic surveys.
- Strong knowledge of survey principles ods and applicable laws and regulations (e.g. ALTA Texas GLO).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D GPS and Total Station equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication ss.
- Strong problemsolving ss and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Texas driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing survey teams.
- Familiarity with drone survey technology and GIS systems.
- LSLS (Licensed State Land Surveyor) designation is preferred for certain projects.
