We are looking for a Controls Automation Engineer to join our team focusing on troubleing automation and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trouble diagnose and repair plant equipment including automation robots and secondary systems.
- Develop test and implement software solutions for automation and control systems.
- Oversee and support equipment installation startup and debugging processes.
- Lead project initiatives for new product and process development enhancing productivity and reducing costs.
- Provide leadership in the training and implementation of new equipment and processes.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize workstation setups and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure projects stay within budget and meet cost targets.
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety and quality standards exceeding both governmental and internal requirements.
- Contribute to New Product Development by designing workflows and layouts for postmold equipment.
- Maintain accurate doentation including component lists project budgets quotes and equipment performance records.
- Participate in quality improvement teams (8D) and drive costsaving initiatives.
- Write setup and operation manuals and train personnel on new equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
- ociate’s degree or equivalent technical training with 23 years of experience in automation electrical design control system integration and troubleing.
- Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming (preferably Rockwell) and vision systems (Cognex Keyence Dalsa).
- Experience with AutoCAD for electrical schematics.
- Ability to interpret electrical pneumatic and mechanical diagrams.
- Strong ytical troubleing and problemsolving ss.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety codes.
- Willingness to work overtime or offshift as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent use of hands; standing walking and sitting; occasional climbing or balancing.
- Must frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in environments with moderate noise and mechanical exposure.
