Position: General Manager Plastic Injection Molding Location: North Detroit Metro MI
Position Overview
The General Manager will lead and manage all aspects of manufacturing operations and support departments to ensure maximum productivity quality and safety with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. This role requires strategic leadership continuous improvement and operational excellence to achieve plant goals and meet both internal and external customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all operational functions ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Drive efforts toward obtaining customer awards and certifications (e.g. QS9000).
- Serve as the primary interface with customers and suppliers maintaining strong relationships.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across all departments to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Maintain rigorous housekeeping standards to promote a safe and organized workplace.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to meet the plant’s business goals.
- Elish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business plan objectives.
- Manage and maintain cuttingedge process technology to ensure a competitive advantage.
- Deliver leadership that consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations in terms of quality and service.
- Oversee the development and adjustment of the business plan as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all internal safety protocols.
- Identify staff training needs and oversee the enhancement of training programs to ups employees.
- Foster a positive company culture by upholding company policies and procedures.
- Take responsibility for the plant’s financial performance including budgeting and cost management.
- Support corporate initiatives such as A3P quoting costing and procedure development.
Qualifications:
- 10 to 15 years of experience managing plastic injection molding operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong background in manufacturing with a preference for experience in plastics.
- Proven ability to identify complex problems yze information and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving ss.
- Experience managing financial performance and driving continuous operational improvements.
