Job Description
Lead HVAC Technician
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Technician to oversee the heating ventilation and air conditioning installation for our commercial modular building projects. The Lead HVAC Technician will ensure that all HVAC systems are installed according to project specifications building codes and safety regulations. This role involves both handson HVAC work and supervising other technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the installation of HVAC systems in modular commercial units including heating cooling ventilation and air filtration systems.
- Supervise and direct a team of HVAC technicians ensuring timely and highquality completion of all work. Provide guidance instruction and mentorship to team members.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with all building codes standards and project specifications. Perform tests and system checks for proper operation and address any discrepancies.
- Diagnose trouble and repair HVAC system issues as they arise during and after installation. Provide effective solutions to maintain system functionality.
- Work in close coordination with other trades (electrical plumbing etc.) and project management to ensure integrated system design and efficient workflow.
- Ensure proper inventory of HVAC materials. Coordinate the ordering and delivery of necessary materials to avoid project delays.
- Maintain accurate records of installation processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC experience with at lease 2 years in supervisory or lead role.
- Prior experience in modular or prefabricated construction projects is highly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems including installation troubleing and repair. Experience with various HVAC system types ( RTUs Split systems ductless systems etc.).
- Strong understanding and reading blueprints.
