Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to design and detail building structures for a variety of industrial and commercial designbuild projects. In this role you will collaborate closely with other inhouse disciplines to coordinate designs and provide construction administration support to field staff throughout the project’s lifecycle. You will be responsible for selecting structural systems conducting all necessary yses and calculations developing construction drawings and specifications performing drafting tasks and reviewing shop drawings. Site visits and special inspections during construction will also be encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and detail building structures for industrial and commercial projects.
  • Coordinate designs with other inhouse disciplines to ensure project consistency and efficiency.
  • Select structural systems and perform necessary structural ysis and calculations.
  • Develop construction drawings and specifications including selfperforming drafting and creating technical reports.
  • Review shop drawings and provide construction administration support to field staff.
  • Conduct site visits and perform special inspections during construction as needed.

Ideal Ss:

  • Knowledge and application of the International Building Code and related standards (e.g. ASCE AISC ACI).
  • Strong understanding of load paths whole building systems and the mechanics of building materials.
  • Ability to manage projects from the proposal phase through construction completion.
  • Experience in producing construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in navigating Revit and AutoCAD making corrections and annotations.
  • Experience with RAM or similar structural ysis software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary design teams and within the structural engineering team.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years of relevant structural design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABETaccredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Kentucky (KY).
