We are seeking a pionate and experienced Clinical Coordinator (RN) to lead and maintain the smooth operations of the Med/Surg unit in the absence of the Director. Position Overview The Clinical Coordinator will oversee the daytoday operations of the MedicalSurgical unit ensuring high standards of nursing care are maintained. This role involves supervising licensed and nonlicensed nursing personnel and supporting the departments goals. The Coordinator will act as a resource to the Med/Surg team and ist the Department Director with budgeting and daily operations. You will also be responsible for direct patient care when necessary in addition to leadership duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- ume leadership responsibility in the absence of the Director of Med/Surg.
- Provide direction and support to team members ensuring optimal nursing care standards.
- Supervise licensed and nonlicensed nursing staff within the Med/Surg unit.
- ist the Department Director in managing the departments budget and operations.
- Serve as a resource for the Med/Surg team offering guidance and support.
- Ensure highquality patient care services are consistently delivered.
- Work variable shifts as required to maintain unit operations.
- Provide direct patient care as needed utilizing the full nursing process.

Qualifications Education:
- Current Alabama Registered Nurse licensure required.
- BSN preferred.
- Deescalation training to be completed within 90 days of hire.
Certifications (required within specified timeframes if not already obtained):
- BLS Required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS Required within 12 months of hire.
- PALS Required within 12 months of hire.
- TNCC Required within 2 years of hire.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of MedicalSurgical nursing experience required.
- At least 2 years of charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
Special Qualifications:
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and computer ss.
- Ability to function effectively in stressful situations demonstrating accountability and responsibility in nursing care and leadership.
Physical Requirements - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Clear vision (with or without corrective devices) and good coordination required.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks hear alarms and distinguish colors.
