Your Role
As a licensed Mechanical Engineer you’ll take on key responsibilities within the company’s mechanical engineering department. You’ll develop production drawings for HVAC systems plumbing designs and process piping including compressed air gas and water piping. You’ll also create fire protection specifications review project doentation and work closely with clients and the Senior Mechanical Engineer. Collaboration with other disciplines will be a core part of your role to ensure all deliverables align with client expectations.

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABETaccredited U.S. program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in South Carolina or ability to obtain it; NCEES registration is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered PE with a focus on mechanical engineering for industrial projects
- Proven expertise in HVAC system design load calculations equipment selection controls lifecycle costing specification writing cost estimating and shop drawing review
- Experience in developing fire protection specification sheets plumbing and process piping design including compressor piping
- Comprehensive understanding of IBC and National Fire Protection Code standards with specific knowledge of industrial facilities and hazardous use groups; FM Global standards knowledge is an advantage
- Experience in project specifications construction drawings and resolving constructionrelated issues
- Ability to visit and ess existing facilities and active construction sites often requiring physical navigation of nongroundlevel spaces
- Strong problemsolving ss and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and industry software such as COMcheck Carrier HAP Trane Trace and eQuest
- Excellent verbal and written communication ss with strong organizational and teamwork capabilities
- Experience supporting business development including preparing preliminary designs estimating fees writing proposals and attending industry events
