Promofarma is looking for a Senior Purchase Manager to join our fastgrowing team in Barcelona and take charge of our supplier management and product category strategy.

The Role

As a Senior Purchase Manager you will play a critical role in managing and growing Promofarmas product categories. You will acquire new suppliers negotiate contracts and drive commercial success through strategic category management. Reporting to the Head of Business you will be the key point of contact for suppliers ensuring that we deliver an exceptional product mix to meet customer demands.

Tasks

  • Category Ownership: Manage key product categories from start to finish defining and executing category strategy.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build strong lasting relationships with suppliers distributors and laboratories.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate deals to secure the best value and favourable terms for exclusive partnerships and promotions.
  • P&L Management: Take full ownership of the P&L for igned categories setting ambitious revenue targets.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with suppliers and the Demand Planner to ensure optimal product availability and manage inventory levels.
  • Promotional Campaigns: Run promotional campaigns that align with market trends and consumer needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously ess supplier relationships and use datadriven insights to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing Operations and Supply Chain teams to align strategies and resolve challenges.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in purchasing procurement or category management preferably in ecommerce or retail.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Proven experience in leading highstakes negotiations with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining product quality and availability.
  • Strategic Vision: A strong record of accomplishment of driving category growth managing P&L and aligning business goals with supplier partnerships.
  • ytical Mindset: Datadriven decisionmaking ss with experience in demand forecasting performance ysis and inventory management.
  • Leadership & Initiative: A selfstarter with a proactive attitude capable of taking full responsibility for the success of igned categories.
  • Languages: Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential for managing local and international suppliers.
