Job Description

The Opportunity Hub is delighted to partner with a leading firm specialising in the trading, valuation, and advisory of illiquid and distressed financial ets, on their lookout for Distressed Debt yst to join their high-performing team. With a focus on markets that include distressed debt, non-performing loans (NPLs), the firm leverages deep market insights, innovative ytics, and a global network to provide tailored solutions to institutional investors, financial institutions, and other market participants.

Distressed Debt yst (based in London, between 100k and 150k depending on experience)

Job Overview:
The Distressed Debt yst will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's distressed debt trading and advisory activities. This individual will be responsible for conducting in-depth ysis and valuation of distressed debt instruments, including corporate bonds, bank loans, NPLs, and other illiquid securities.

Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Conduct comprehensive research on distressed debt markets, including trends, pricing, and regulatory developments
  • Monitor and ess credit events, bankruptcy proceedings, and other key developments affecting distressed securities
  • Build and maintain financial models to value distressed debt and illiquid securities
  • ist in the structuring and negotiation of transactions, including the ysis of covenant packages and recovery scenarios
Here are the ss you need:
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in distressed debt, high-yield credit ysis, or related fields
  • Proven experience in financial modelling, valuation, and market research within distressed or illiquid markets
  • Strong ytical and quantitative ss with proficiency in Excel and financial modelling software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication ss, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and contribute to group initiatives
