Exciting Career Opportunity: Permanent Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
Location: Ashtabula OH
Shift: Days 8hour shifts
Hourly Salary: Starting at $18.00 per hour (increases based on experience)
Annual Salary: $37440
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to join our healthcare team in Ashtabula OH. The SPT is responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned sterilized and maintained playing a crucial role in patient safety and infection control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instrument Cleaning and Sterilization:
- Clean decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment following elished protocols.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality ensuring that all tools are in proper working condition.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment ensuring that all necessary items are available for procedures.
- Restock sterile processing areas and maintain an organized work environment.
- Doentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
- Adhere to hospital policies procedures and regulatory standards including OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with surgical staff and other healthcare professionals to support efficient and effective patient care.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding instrument needs and any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) Required.
- Experience: Previous experience in sterile processing or a related field is required.
- Ss:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal ss.
