Job Description

For our partner a prominent technology firm we are seeking a Lead Engineer Power Electronics to join their esteemed corporate research department.

Location: Prague Czech Republic.

About the Project: This role will involve spearheading research and development efforts in the realm of power electronics and drive technology advancement. This encompes various areas such as power systems topologies converters highpower electronics electric machines and controls electrification of transport energy storage gridconnected converters and alternative power generation and distribution. The department dedicated to research labs is committed to developing innovative technologies for future products. The team works on diverse industrial applications ranging from miniature circuit breakers to power distribution for megawatt scale aircraft drives.


Job Profile: The successful candidate will join a team of experienced engineers and utilize your technical excellence to contribute to projects and lead towards innovative solutions. Collaborating with colleagues from diverse technology backgrounds and countries you will contribute to making impactful advancements.

Responsibilities:

Lead power electronics research design and development activities at TRL15
Demonstrate ownership for the igned projects and task
Perform modeling simulation PE and PCB design and validation of electronics circuits
Collect and yze data to optimize designs to meet performance size manufacturability reliability or costs targets
Collaborate with mechanical thermal and firmware engineers to successfully design and validate the design
Create technical reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders
Support team and work with external contributors (business divisions universities and customers)
Develop test cell facilities and related hardware

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Msc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D power electronics and electronics design (DC/DC converters)
  • Modeling and simulation (Matlab Plecs Altium Eagle e)
  • Strong understanding of circuit theory containing power electronics (solid state circuit breaking)
  • Experience in designing cuttingedge electronics (SiC GaN (siliconecarbide gallium nitride)
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving using logic and ods to tackle diverse problems
