Job Description
- Ensure all equipment and machinery related to dairy operations are well-maintained and functioning properly
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities related to dairy operations
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of milking parlors, barns, and related facilities
- ist with milking operations and ensure proper hygiene standards are maintained
- Monitor animal health and welfare, promptly reporting any issues to the veterinarian
- Maintain accurate records of herd health, breeding, and milk production
- Maintain detailed records of herd health, breeding schedules, milk production, and feed consumption
- Prepare regular reports on herd performance, health, and farm productivity
- Collaborate with farm staff to implement and improve farm management practices
- Ensure strict compliance with farm safety and biosecurity protocols
- Train and mentor junior staff in best practices for dairy management and livestock care
