Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless operation of the facility and equipment through efficient facility management.
- Assist with machinery changeovers for different projects.
Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
Replace mechanical wear parts as needed.
- Read interpret and execute drawings schematics blueprints and electrical code specifications.
- Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity current voltage and resistance.
- Install repair and/or replace AC/DC motors drives starters or relays.
- Install repair or replace electrical wiring receptacles switch boxes conduits feeders support structures and fiberoptic or lighting systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems.
- Install electrical circuits panels conduits and devices in compliance with NEC standards.
Correct wiring and connections on equipment controls.
- Mentor coach and manage Electrical Apprentice employees as needed.
Supervise a team of 4 maintenance technicians.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in engineering or a similar discipline preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- 5 years of experience as a control panel technician repair manager or in a related role.
- 5 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of control panels and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and humanmachine interfaces (HMIs).
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for control panels and electrical systems.
Understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed.
Food manufacturing experience is highly sought after.
