Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure seamless operation of the facility and equipment through efficient facility management.
  • Assist with machinery changeovers for different projects.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.

  • Replace mechanical wear parts as needed.

  • Read interpret and execute drawings schematics blueprints and electrical code specifications.
  • Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity current voltage and resistance.
  • Install repair and/or replace AC/DC motors drives starters or relays.
  • Install repair or replace electrical wiring receptacles switch boxes conduits feeders support structures and fiberoptic or lighting systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems.

  • Install electrical circuits panels conduits and devices in compliance with NEC standards.
  • Correct wiring and connections on equipment controls.

  • Mentor coach and manage Electrical Apprentice employees as needed.
  • Supervise a team of 4 maintenance technicians.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in engineering or a similar discipline preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • 5 years of experience as a control panel technician repair manager or in a related role.
  • 5 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of control panels and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and humanmachine interfaces (HMIs).
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for control panels and electrical systems.
  • Understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as needed.

  • Food manufacturing experience is highly sought after.
