Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair mechanical issues of facility machinery as requested by the maintenance manager on a daily basis.
- Monitor and repair electric controls on industrial production equipment.
- Improve the functioning of the machinery by making mechanical adjustments and performing preventative maintenance.
- Perform basic building maintenance and repairs including drywall repairs painting and other tasks as needed.
- Complete daily mechanical maintenance and repair record forms and deliver them to the maintenance manager.
- Clean and maintain work area after mechanical work has been performed.
Perform quality welding and electrical work as required.
- Obtain services of outside contractors for repairs requiring specialized training.
Perform regularly scheduled work orders on equipment and facilities.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of two (2) years of technical/mechanical experience in Food Production.
- Strong analytical organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Hydraulic Pneumatic systems and Control Systems.
- Experience with HighSpeed Packaging Machinery and industrial electrical PLC.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing electrical and HVAC repair.
Ability to read blueprints building plans and repair manuals.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Experience with TIG and MIG welding.
Forklift (Standup/Sitdown High Reach) certification preferred.
Familiarity with Sanitary Environments is an asset.
Positive proactive and selfmotivated with leadership qualities.
- Ability to prioritize in a fastpaced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders bend and crawl into awkward spaces.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
