JOB TITLE: Aerospace Upholstery Technician I
LOCATION: Savannah GA

We are a national staffing firm working with some of the toptier aerospace companies in the world! And we are looking for firstclass employees to work with our clients.

12month contract with opportunities for extension

Summary:
-
Under moderate supervision fabricate and install upholstery cover panels and create simple patterns for aircraft interiors based on design and engineering drawings.
-
Perform upholstery tasks within design customer FAA and Gulfstream specifications.
-
Complete installation and trim tasks per work order instructions and specs.
-
Fit panels windows headliners sidewalls and bulkheads; cut and surge carpets fabricate parts and install panels.

Create carpet patterns and handle installation.
-
Use the material tracking system to create parts demand track squawks and signoff work.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Experience with commercial sewing machines sergers and hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades preferred.

Proficient in reading writing and speaking English.

Ability to read blueprints and engineering documentation.
-
Able to use measuring tools and perform basic math.
-
Must be computer literate.
-
Able to climb ladders work in confined spaces lift up to 40 lbs and work any shift.
