Summary:
Demonstrate expertise in avionics and aircraft systems through operational testing and troubleshooting. Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components ensuring defectfree systems per engineering specifications.
Perform installation and functional testing of avionics systems and components.
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems efficiently.
Replace defective components and wiring using techniques like splicing and soldering.
Conduct engineering changes and modifications as needed.
Set up test equipment for performance and reliability evaluations.
Document all work for inspection and compliance.
Maintain and test electronic systems and equipment.
Adhere to safety regulations and company programs (FOD tool control 5S).
Adapt to schedule changes and support aircraft certification/testing.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED.
4 years in avionics/electrical field or 2 years of accredited schooling plus 2 years of experience.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
Desired Skills:
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license.
FCC license and NCATT certification.
Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems (hydraulics landing gear flight controls etc.).
