Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Vendor Manager with extensive experience in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing vendor relationships ensuring that all vendors meet performance and compliance standards and driving strategic initiatives to enhance vendor performance and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best terms and conditions ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor vendor performance conducting regular evaluations and implementing improvement plans as necessary.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships ensuring business continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for vendor management aligning with the companys overall business strategy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including procurement finance and operations to ensure seamless integration of vendor services.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts with vendors promptly and effectively.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance cost savings and other key metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management with at least 3 years in the insurance industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of insurance operations including underwriting and claims processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management or a related field.
