The hospital was constructed in 1975 with a bed capacity of 73. Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services dental and ophthalmology services orthopedics OB/GYN oral surgery eye surgery and urological procedures. Approximately 49% of the surgeries performed are out patient/ambulatory surgical procedures. Learn more about our organization. The Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is located in Northwestern Arizona on the land known as the Colorado Plateau. This semidesert landscape varies in elevation from 4400 in the Little Colorado River Valley to nearly 7000 feet at Preston Mesa. The unique community of Tuba City offers a culturally rich environment. The Native American tribes located and served here are the Navajo Hopi and Southern Paiute. This mixture along with Anglo Hispanic and African American employees of the hospital and school systems make a pleasantly diverse community. The staff of medical providers includes surgeons general medical officers internal medicine psychiatrists pediatricians family practice physicians obstetricians ENT specialists orthopedic surgeons and urologists. Dental staff includes general dentists endodontists oral and maxillofacial surgeons pediatric dentists dental assistants and hygienists. The nursing staff includes registered nurses licensed practical nurses nursing assistants community health nurses nurse practitioners nurse midwives CRNA and community health medics.This position requires rotational scheduling and oncall (night weekend and holiday) coverage upon successful completion of established didactic and clinical requirements required exams and the discretion of the OR SCN. Position requirements include performing basic duties of a surgical technologist. Assist with positioning surgical prepping and draping of the surgical patient. Responsibilities include setting up an operating room before surgery and ensuring all needed equipment and instrumentation is available and in working condition for the scheduled surgical procedure. Surgical specialties include: General Surgery Orthopedic Otolaryngology Ophthalmology Obstetrics and Gynecology Podiatry Urology etc. for adult and pediatric patients.NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS:Must have completed and provide documentation of at least one of the following: Completion of an approved Surgical Technician training program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technologist (AST) On the Job training in a clinical healthcare setting or military specialtyCertification/Licensure: Must be certified within 6 months after 3year qualification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA 3yr) or Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) or current certification from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT3yr 6240 hours) Certified Tech in Surgery (TSC) Must maintain a current valid certification of the following throughout employment:o Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
