Quality Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the inspection of incoming materials workinprogress and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assist in the startup of shifts and new part production and manage weld verification processes.
• Address customer needs by handling first part approvals performing statistical analysis and resolving quality issues.
• Evaluate purchase and maintain quality tools for inspection including writing instructions and training others in their use.
• Participate in new project reviews to determine inspection requirements acquire necessary tooling and manage first article approvals.
• Maintain quality document control by ensuring floor part drawings and quality documents are updated with the latest revisions.

Education Requirements

• Professional degree or training in Quality requirements and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• 2 to 5 years of experience in Quality Management

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of Quality Management principles SPC and quality control tools.
• Ability to develop and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Proficient in problemsolving and analyzing process issues independently.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain effective business relationships with other departments and customers.
