Job Description:
As a Sonographer you will specialize in health screening and
preventive health care. Your primary responsibility will be to perform a range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations aimed at early detection and prevention of medical conditions. You will play a critical role in supporting the clinics mission to provide exceptional and accessible healthcare services focusing on patient wellness and preventive care.
1.Perform Comprehensive Ultrasound Examinations:
- Conduct various ultrasound screenings including abdominal breast vascular and other
relevant scans as part of comprehensive health checkups. Utilize advanced sonographic techniques to produce highquality images that assist in the early detection of medical conditions.
2. Patient Preparation and Education:
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures explaining the importance of screening and preventive measures. Educate patients on the purpose of the screenings and what to expect during the examination
3. Image Analysis and Preliminary Reporting:
- Analyze ultrasound images and identify any areas of concern ensuring accurate preliminary findings. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to discuss and confirm diagnostic results.
4. Preventive Health Focus:
- Emphasize the role of ultrasound in preventive health care providing patients with information on maintaining wellness and early intervention. Promote awareness of regular health screenings and their benefits in preventing and managing health conditions.
5. Equipment Management and Quality Assurance:
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment ensuring it is in optimal working condition for accurate imaging. Conduct regular quality control checks and report any issues with equipment functionality.
6. Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Accurately document patient information screening details and preliminary findings in the clinics electronic medical record system. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical standards in patient data management.
7. Continuous Professional Development:
- Stay informed about advancements in Sonography and preventive health care through continuous education and training. Maintain required certifications and participate in professional development opportunities.
8. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the health screening team including doctors nurses and administrative staff to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and team members to provide a seamless and positive experience.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Advanced Diploma in Medical Ultrasonography (ADMU) Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM)
- Mandarin Speaker is highly preferable.
- Experience in health screening or preventive health care settings is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in performing a wide range of ultrasound screenings.
- Strong technical skills and ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient education and wellness.
- Detailoriented with strong analytical and observational abilities
