About the Role:
Were on the hunt for an experienced Patent Litigation Associate to join our clients team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of patent litigation experience and a background in electrical engineering or computer science. This role involves handling all aspects of patent litigation from Markman hearings and technical analysis to discovery management and trial preparation. Your Mission:
- Prepare and handle trial of patent matters including Markman hearings.
- Conduct technical analysis of products and patents.
- Manage all aspects of discovery preparation including document review and production.
- Work closely with experts and assist with their reports and depositions.
- Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses and experts.
- Draft pleadings motions and other litigationrelated documents.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to develop effective litigation strategies.
Core Competencies:
- Patent Litigation Expertise: Proven experience in handling patent litigation including trial preparation Markman hearings and discovery management.
- Technical Background: Preferred experience in electrical engineering computer science or a related field.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Client Relationship Management: Professionalism in engaging with clients and managing their litigation needs.
What You Bring:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or LLM from an ABAaccredited law school.
- Admitted to or eligible for admission in California.
- 3 years of patent litigation experience in district court and/or before the International Trade Commission (ITC).
- Technical background in electrical engineering computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
