Job Title: Surgical Technologist (CST)
Location: Lewiston ID
Salary: $52000 $78000 per year
Job Type: Permanent Fulltime
Job Summary:
One of our clients is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Operating Room team in Lewiston ID. As a member of the perioperative services team you will work closely with skilled surgeons and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. This position comes with a $20000 signon bonus for those with a minimum of 1year Surgical Technician experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as a member of the sterile team in various surgical procedures.
- Prepare the operating room including opening supplies performing surgical scrubs and setting up equipment.
- Assist with draping and establishing sterile fields.
- Anticipate the surgeons needs by passing instruments sutures and other required items.
- Maintain a sterile environment using strict aseptic techniques.
- Perform needle and sponge counts with the circulating nurse.
- Share oncall rotation with other staff members (compensation includes $4.00/hour on call and a minimum of 2hours pay at time and a half if called in).
Schedule & Compensation:
- FullTime: 80 hours per pay period.
- Work Hours: 6:30 am 5:00 pm.
- Call Schedule: 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month.
- Shift Differential:
- Evening Shift (3:00 pm 11:30 pm) 8%
- Night Shift (11:00 pm 7:30 am) 11%
- No weekend differential.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist course.
- Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) is preferred at the time of employment required within 6 months of hire.
- At least 23 years of acute care hospitalbased operating room experience (Ortho Neuro & General Surgery).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Indepth knowledge of surgical principles procedures and sterile techniques.
