Job Title: Medical Technologist
Location: Vernal UT
Salary: $50905 $65738 per year
Job Type: Permanent Fulltime
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to join our healthcare team in Vernal UT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests ensuring the accuracy and quality of results and contributing to patient care. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to analyze samples and provide critical data for medical diagnoses.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests including blood sampling immunoassays and data management.
- Use laboratory techniques to analyze samples and ensure accurate test results.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures for blood collection.
- Manage blood banking procedures ensuring proper handling and storage of blood products.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures like CT scans as required.
- Assist in interpreting test results using a thorough understanding of anatomy and laboratory practices.
- Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during lab procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in laboratory procedures including assay techniques.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting (required).
- Solid understanding of medical terminology and laboratory protocols.
- Certification with M (ASCP) or AMT (required).
