Salary: $185000 $267200 per year

• Operational Oversight: Manage daily clinical operations including practice standards staffing payroll budget management and quality improvement to ensure the highest quality care in compliance with federal state and local regulatory standards.
• Staff Supervision: Supervise a team of 2060 employees overseeing shifts employee development and action plans aimed at improving clinical performance and patient outcomes.
• Resource Allocation: Ensure effective utilization of staff based on patient needs while identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Quality & Risk Management: Monitor service quality and ensure patient safety through human resources management department safety programs and risk management efforts.
• Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare providers across the continuum of care to provide optimal patient treatment plans. Investigate and resolve patient or family concerns related to care.
• Continuous Improvement: Research and implement best practices from other units to maintain and improve the quality of care.

• Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience as a Charge Nurse Preceptor or in a similar leadership role.
  • Recent (within the last five years) experience in a Mom/Baby unit is required.
• Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field required. Masters degree (MSN) preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License in California required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Training completion as a Preceptor or Charge Nurse is required.
• Knowledge of quality improvement processes clinical care delivery staffing budgeting and regulatory requirements such as Nursing Practice Act The Joint Commission and state/federal regulations.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills are critical.
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

• ACLS certification strongly preferred.
• Experience as a Preceptor Trainer or Educator is a plus.
• Experience working in a unionized environment is desirable.
• Strong collaborative communication style with the ability to resolve challenges quickly in a fastpaced environment.

This role is part of a large highvolume hospital specifically within a Level III Maternal Child Health department. The Assistant Nurse Manager leads a dedicated team of RNs and serves as the main liaison between the nursing team and the MD team ensuring smooth communication and operations across shifts. This environment fosters collaboration and professional growth offering opportunities for promotion to Manager Director or regional roles.
